Future Leadership Foundation, a non-profit headquartered in Jefferson City, Mo., that works to develop Christian leaders across the globe, is hosting a gathering for Baptist leaders across Eastern Europe. Nine Missourians trekked to Lviv, Ukraine, to meet Baptists from Belarus, Moldova, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. The European Summit will be held this week, June 2-15, at the Ukraine Baptist Seminary.
“There are exciting things happening in churches all across Eastern Europe,” said Steve Hemphill, an FLF Board member from Liberty, Mo., who is attending the Summit. “It’s inspiring to see their growth and we are honored to help.”
Other FLF leaders attending the European Summit include Greg Morrow, executive director; Gary Collins, treasurer; Melissa Hatfield, director of operations; Chris Cook, field service director; John Jackson, field service director; and board members Steve Easterwood, Stephen Mathis and Hemphill. Tricia Alberts, executive director of Sports Crusaders, also joined the trip. The Summit will feature discussions between FLF and Eastern European Baptists as they plan future partnership efforts.
