Three Sports Crusaders Days set - Word&Way

Three Sports Crusaders Days set

ST. LOUIS — Enjoy baseball and support mission efforts at the same time. Sports Crusaders has secured three Sports Crusaders Days at St. Louis Cardinals games this season — the first on April 2.

Sports Crusaders is a Holt Summit-based sports evangelism ministry that provides sports training and Bible study for children in the United States and abroad.

Just the second game of the season, the April 2 contest will see the Cardinals face the San Diego Padres.

Tickets, reserved for the first base terrace, are $24, with $10 of each ticket purchased through Sports Crusaders to benefit the ministry. The game gets underway at 3:10 p.m.

Tickets also are already on sale for the Sports Crusaders second special day on June 18 — a cross-state rivalry game between the Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals.

Sports Crusaders fans will be able to cheer their favorite team by purchasing $31 seats on the Infield Terrace for $28, with $13 of each ticket earmarked for the ministry.

In addition, the group purchasing the most tickets will receive two free passes for the pre-game batting practice two hours before the game begins. Pre-game ceremonies are slated for 5:45 p.m., with the game to begin at 6:15 p.m.

The third Sports Crusaders Day is a 6:15 p.m. game on Aug. 27 when the Cards will host the Pittsburg Pirates.

Interested groups and individuals should contact Randy Curless at 636-248-3749 or by e-mail at randy@sportscrusaders.org to purchase tickets or for more information. Learn more about the ministry at sportscrusaders.org.
