LONDON (ABP) – A pastor and former college principal was elected [http://www.baptisttimes.co.uk/home.htm] April 3 as vice president of the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
Chris Ellis, pastor of West Bridgford Baptist Church in Nottingham, England, takes office as vice president at this year’s Baptist Assembly scheduled May 4-6 in London. The following year he becomes president-elect and then takes over as president in 2014-15.
Prior to arriving at West Bridgford Baptist Church [http://westbridgfordbc.wordpress.com/] in 2006, Ellis was principal of Bristol Baptist College, a school with about 100 students training for ordained or lay ministry. He also has been pastor of churches in Brighton, Cardiff, Swindon and Sheffield.
