The Missouri Baptist Children's Home Apple Festival has been canceled due to weather. The annual event was scheduled to take place Saturday, Sept. 13 in Peculiar. This is the first time in its 25 years that the event has been cancelled. MBCH is still making alternative plans for an event later in the year, public relations director Derald Harris said.
The 23rd Annual Ozark Berry Festival will be Sept. 27 at the Hutchens Campus in Mt. Vernon.

UPDATE – The Missouri Baptist Children's Home announced the Apple Festival has been rescheduled for November 8. The event location has been moved to FBC Raytown, and will include the quilt and craft auction, craft and souvenir sales and Volunteer of the Year presentation.
