Robert “Bob” Webb has announced plans to retire from the pastorate of Memorial Baptist Church, Columbia, on Aug. 30. He has served the congregation for nearly 16 years, beginning in November 1993.
The church will provide a luncheon following morning worship on Aug. 30, with a recognition service to follow. Friends of Webb and his wife, Deana, are invited to attend.

Webb accepted the call to preach at 16 and held his first pastorate at a small country church in Arkansas while a sophomore at Ouachita University. He has also been the pastor of churches in Bolivar; Lenexa, Kan.; and Maryville.
The couple has three children, Laura, Joey and Matt, and three granddaughters, Maggie Jean, Kylie and Sara.
