Central Seminary will culminate its academic year with the launch of the Buttry Center for Peace and Nonviolence during its 2018 commencement events in May.
Dan and Sharon Buttry, who serve as global peace consultants for International Ministries of the American Baptist Churches, will share their hopes and dreams for the center at a reception on May 10. They will also lead a free workshop, “Conflict Transformation with Our Diversity” the next morning.
Other commencement events for graduates and alumni are scheduled prior to the May 12 morning graduation, where Dan Buttry will be featured as the commencement speaker. The seminary will also honor Dr. Ircel Harrison with the Distinguished Service Award.
