In episode 90 of Dangerous Dogma, Jeff Hood, author of The Execution of God, talks with Word&Way President Brian Kaylor about his advocacy against the death penalty. He also discusses his ministry to people on death row, including last month as he stood in a death chamber as Oklahoma executed Scott Eizember. At A Public Witness, we recently reported on another minister’s experience of being present during an execution in Missouri, and we reported on a case where a condemned person was denied that opportunity. On Ash Wednesday, Hood led a service reflecting on the last words of people who were executed.
