Fifteen years have passed since the start of the MBC’s litigation against the Missouri Baptist Foundation, Missouri Baptist University, The Baptist Home, Windermere Baptist Conference Center and Word&Way — with the suits against MBU and TBH still unresolved.  How have two of those early key promises fared with the passage of time?

On Aug. 13, 2002, the Missouri Baptist Convention filed its first lawsuit against five Baptist institutions that shifted to self-perpetuating boards. Fifteen years and several million dollars later, 40 percent of the cases remain unresolved.
