STANDISH, Maine (ABP) -- A 20-year-old Tennessee Baptist summer missionary was killed June 16 -- and three other summer missionaries and their local Baptist supervisor were injured -- in a car accident in Maine.
All 14 students, part of a 15-member team from Hannibal-LaGrange College injured in a truck accident in Haiti on May 16, have been released from hospitals in St. Louis and Miami, Fla. Only faculty sponsor Chris Brenneman remains hospitalized in Miami.
Kristine Lea White, 41, of rural Otterville, died Oct. 3 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia from injuries sustained in an automobile accident the previous evening. She was children's minister at First Baptist Church, Sedalia.
