The 183rd Missouri Baptist Convention annual meeting takes place October 23-25 at the Raytown campus of Connection Point Church.
The theme for the 2017 gathering is “Who Is My Neighbor?” based on Luke 10:29. It is scheduled to begin on Monday evening and adjourn on Tuesday evening. The annual meeting is preceeded by the Pastor’s Conference and followed by a reservation-only time for pastors and spouses on Wednesday morning.
Featured speakers include Judy Dabler, founder of a conciliation ministry in Creve Coeur, Mo.; Ken Parker, senior pastor of First Baptist Kearny, Mo, delivering the president’s address; Kirk Baker, senior pastor of First Baptist Camdenton, Mo. preaching the annual sermon; and John Yeats, MBC executive director, providing the executive director’s address. Ryan Langford, minister of music at First Baptist Houston, Texas, will lead music. An appearance by Gov. Eric Greitens is also scheduled.
Tom Elliff, president of the Southern Baptist Convention International Mission Board, and Kevin Ezell, president of the North American Mission Board, SBC, will be featured speakers at the Wednesday morning brunch.
