KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Margin KC involved more than 100 Kansas City churches coming together with a series of sermons designed to help congregants reduce their financial debt. After 10 weeks, surveys report nearly $18 million in personal debt was paid off.
After paying their bills, a survey finds 42% of respondents decided not to take a vacation with at least one overnight stay since July 2018. Others reported skipping a restaurant meal or another recreational activity during the past year.
